This is my new year resolution 2007. From a developer point of view. Feel free to add yours…

1. I will bother to research the security issues relevant to my work.
2. I will learn how to use Unicode.
3. I will recognize that not all programs are self documenting, and that this is why comments were invented.
4. I will be nice to the people who pay me.
5. I will go back and do something interesting with all my failed, half-finished projects.
6. I will not use the term "Alpha" when what I really mean is buggy, untested, crap-tastic software.
7. I will not try to learn a new language. Instead I will surprise everyone by programming something completely unexpected in one I already know.
8. I will write ten lines of code everyday for someone I love.
9. I will stop writing apps that are just giant, nested loops and releasing them as popular software packages. (Here’s looking at you, Wordpress theloop.php.)
10. I will stop making crontab entries to scripts I end up deleting.
11. I will finally pay for all of the shareware apps that I use daily. No, really.

Since I was very lazy to do works on Holidays, I try to catchup tid-bits about Ajax. So I create a small chat application with PHP and XMLHttpRequest. Try it or download it.

First of all, happy new year, but I don’t think 2007 is a good year, for many shit happens during the shift from 2006 to 2007.

1. The first shit is, the Taiwan quake’s has taken down Indonesian internet connection. I cannot access my gmails account for about 2 days.

2. Because the first shit, I’ve received a notification email from my bos that The january’s salary will be payed on 3rd January since they were late to sign the checkbook to the bank. What a Lame. Now I’m stuck with only Rp.20000 on my pocket. Bitch!

3. A shocking moment, Saddam Husein has been executed, they say its for a "Crime against humanity" Humanity my ASS, why they never hang actors behind "Hiroshima and Nagasaki" —

   To Saddam: May all of your sin be forgiven and your spirit rest in peace beside Allah, all of my prayers for you.

4. On 31th december, Telkomsel’s IN is down,
   and Indosat SMSGW doing a stupid double submit that out server receive 1000 or more request for a single SMS sent to 9910

So is it a bad omen? I don’t know, all I know is that, I cannot do much until its 3rd January.
